The Dutch capital airport Amsterdam-Schiphol was used by around 2024 million passengers in January 4,6. In a direct comparison with the previous year's figure, there was an increase of 17 percent, but the volume is still below the pre-crisis level.

The number of flight movements rose by 17 percent to 30.050 takeoffs and landings. Around 1,9 million travelers used Schiphol Airport to change trains. The remaining travelers were point-to-point passengers. When it comes to connecting passengers, it should be noted that they are counted twice, once as arriving passengers and once as departing passengers.

In the freight sector, Amsterdam-Schiphol recorded a decline of one percent. 1.307 cargo-only flights were carried out. However, the volume rose by 14 percent to 118.253 tons.
