With the MSC Seascape, the shipping company MSC Cruises has taken over the largest cruise ship ever built by an Italian shipyard. The liner is to be christened in New York on December 7, 2022.

Initially, the Seascape will be based in the Caribbean. Two different seven-day cruises will be offered from Miami. These run through the Eastern and Western Caribbean.

“MSC Seascape is the second ship to enter service this year, bringing our modern fleet to 21 ships. We are proud to have the second Seaside EVO vessel in our fleet to complete the innovative Seaside class. The MSC Seascape brings the sea to life with a total of e where guests can experience the beautiful Caribbean, where the ship will spend its first season. The unmistakable design with an extensive promenade (almost 360 degrees) invites guests to fully enjoy their time-out and switch off,” says MSC boss Gianni Onorato.

In terms of environmental protection, the new ship is state-of-the-art, according to the shipping company. For example, it is equipped with a system designed to reduce noise. This is to protect sea creatures. New catalytic converters are also being used, which are said to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions by up to 90 percent. MSC promises that about 98 percent of the sulfur oxides can be removed.
