The flight offer at Munich Airport, which has been thinned out as a result of the corona crisis, is being gradually rebuilt by the airlines. In the meantime, the number of destinations that are regularly flown to from Munich has risen to over 170. This means that Munich Airport is already heading for around 80 percent of the destinations that were on the flight plan in the pre-crisis year 2019.

As of this week, travelers from the Bavarian capital have been able to fly non-stop to Toronto with Air Canada again: Since Germans are now also allowed to enter Canada again, demand has increased accordingly, according to the airport. In addition to Air Canada’s three weekly connections to Toronto, passengers traveling to Canada can also use Lufthansa’s five weekly flights to Vancouver.

Singapore Airlines has been serving the Bavarian capital again since January of this year. The airline is now increasing the number of its flights from Munich to Singapore from three to five weekly frequencies. These two additional so-called “vaccinated travel lane” flights enable German, fully vaccinated passengers to enter Singapore without quarantine. The prerequisite for this is that you have stayed within Germany for the last 21 days before departure and that you have a negative PCR test. Both upon arrival and after a three-day stay in Singapore, these guests must undergo another PCR test.

From October 1, Lufthansa will be flying to Dubai three times a week with the modern long-haul Airbus A350. On the same route, Emirates is also increasing its offer from seven to nine weekly flights in October.

Lufthansa increases flight offer within Europe

The crane line flies around 100 times more per week to a total of 20 European destinations. Among other things, the metropolises of Amsterdam, Budapest, Copenhagen, Milan, Paris, Rome, Stockholm and Vienna are served more frequently. In addition, connections to Birmingham, Basel, Leipzig, Luxembourg, Paderborn and Stuttgart will be resumed. Easyjet is also contributing to the consolidation of the European route network from Munich. The British carrier is now flying again to London Gatwick (four times a week) and Milan-Malpensa (three times a week). The airline also plans to add more connections to the UK in the next few months
