The next major milestone for the LabCampus innovation center being built at Munich Airport: Argo AI, a US technology company in the field of autonomous driving, becomes its first customer.

The company, founded in 2016, will set up a test track at Munich Airport and rent space in the first LabCampus office building LAB 48, which is scheduled to open in 2022. On the test track, which is to be built not far from the aircraft maintenance hangars in the southwest of the airport, the autonomous vehicles are to be tested under realistic conditions in different traffic situations, the airport informs.

“This conclusion of the contract illustrates the enormous potential of the LabCampus as a think tank and test laboratory for future-oriented mobility concepts. Argo AI's commitment is therefore also an important signal to all other companies that can benefit from the enormous opportunities this innovation center offers, ”said Jost Lammers, CEO of Flughafen München GmbH.
