Münster/Osnabrück Airport (FMO) recorded strong growth in the first nine months of 2024. Compared to the previous year, the number of passengers increased by around 30 percent.

The Kuhlmann family from Lengerich was honored as the millionth passenger of the year. Dirk and Andrea Kuhlmann, who flew to Mallorca with Condor, were personally bid farewell by District Administrator Dr. Martin Sommer and FMO Managing Director Prof. Dr. Rainer Schwarz. Passenger numbers at FMO now significantly exceed the level before the corona pandemic. While German airports are still on average 20 percent below the 2019 level, FMO recorded an increase of 35 percent. Schwarz attributes this success primarily to the expanded tourism program.
