The Romanian low-cost airline Blue Air plans to start the non-stop connection between Iasi and Munich earlier than originally announced. The carrier plans to fly between the two cities as early as October 30, 2022.

Initially, two weekly rotations, which are to be carried out on the traffic days Thursday and Sunday, are to be offered. Boeing 737-500 and -800 are planned as aircraft. Effective December 1, 2022 to December 22, 2022 and from January 8, 2023 to January 29, 2023, the intention is to fly three times a week.

The third lap is to be carried out on Tuesday, the traffic day. Outside of the aforementioned periods, two rotations per week are scheduled, scheduled for Thursday and Sunday traffic days.

Romania's Iasi Airport is located in close proximity to the Moldovan border. This airport is increasingly being used as an alternative to Chisinau. Travel time between Iasi Airport and the capital of Moldova is approximately 2,5 hours. It takes considerably longer by public transport.
