Munich Airport is closing one of its runways.

Following the opening of the southern runway, the northern runway will be closed for maintenance work from August 7th until the beginning of October 2021. After the three-month renovation of the southern runway, the northern runway is now to be repaired by the beginning of October, as the airport company announced on Monday. Among other things, parts of the concrete and asphalt pavements are to be renewed.
