The Austrian low-cost airline Easyjet Europe will discontinue routes from Munich to Faro and Palma de Mallorca in September 2021. It was originally announced that these should be served at least until the end of the current summer flight schedule period in 2021.

However, it had been clear for some time that Easyjet would only operate the two summer routes during the Bavarian school holidays, because the offer period was shortened. Specifically, this means that these destinations could no longer be booked until the end of October 2021.

Faro is to be served from Munich for the last time on September 4, 2021. The Palma route will be discontinued on September 11, 2021. Easyjet Europe regards both routes as seasonal business and remains open to reopening them in the summer flight schedule of 2022. The company did not provide any information on capacity utilization. The inclusion of the two goals was made announced at relatively short notice.
