A few months ago, the financially troubled airline Air Malta presented a new livery. In view of the unclear future and the fact that the draft is strongly reminiscent of times past, one traded one of ridicule. Now the plans have been revised.
The first aircraft to appear in the “all new” livery is the Airbus A320neo with registration 9H-NEE. The machine should be taken over in the next few weeks. The livery presented some time ago will not be introduced due to negative feedback that has been received from company boss David Curmi, among others. According to Mavio News, the specialist department was commissioned to design a revised version. This is no longer reminiscent of the livery that was abolished long ago, but rather of the current paint scheme.
Air Malta currently expects the future 9H-NEE to join the fleet in March 2023. First of all, this machine will wear the new color dress. No decision has yet been made on a potential repaint of the existing A320ceo aircraft. It can be assumed that at least the existing A320neo could be pushed into the paint shop sooner or later.
