For example, power consumption was reduced by 40 percent compared to 2019. We have also increased our productivity with streamlined personnel structures. Thirdly, we have expanded the so-called "non-aviation business" with new tenants, new advertising concepts and new passenger offers," explains Managing Director Rainer Schwarz.
In May 2023, Münster/Osnabrück Airport had 105.000 passengers. This is the highest value since May 2011. Airport director Schwarz assumes that positive operating results will also be achieved in the current year. "Now it's paying off that the shareholders always stood by the FMO in the past and during the Corona period. The airport performs an important function for our region,” says Supervisory Board Chairman Martin Sommer.
