The summer season in Mittersill - Hollersbach - Stuhlfelden is about to start. And there is a lot to look forward to: Hikers can look forward to a varied weekly program and magnificent views. Cyclists charge their batteries on eventful tours through valleys, up mountains and along the Salzach. At numerous events related to cuisine, tradition and customs, there is no shortage of socializing.

The region in Oberpinzgau is predestined for recreational sport no. 1: After all, it is the world-famous Hohe Tauern National Park that characterizes it. There are mighty peaks to be climbed and wild valleys to be discovered. Especially the brave can refresh themselves in the crystal-clear mountain lakes. If you want to draw from the full, you can take part in the varied hiking program. 3-5 guided hikes per week are offered - on leisurely circular and adventure trails, varied panoramic routes and challenging mountain tours.

Tip: For guests in the hiking hotels, participation and the hiking taxi are free of charge.

Gravel biking - very trendy

Gravel roads and forest paths characterize the landscape around Mittersill - Hollersbach - Stuhlfelden. Gravel bikes are ideal for this: With the light frame and robust tires, they combine the most important components of mountain bikes and road bikes. This turns every bumpy gravel tour into a pleasant flow experience. 11 signposted gravel routes lead sporty bikers over mountains and valleys into the pure riding experience.

Festivals & events

Enjoy and experience customs. Plus sport, exercise and team spirit. The series of events goes into the mountain summer with a large contingent. From May to September, every Friday morning at the Mittersill weekly market, everything revolves around regional products and their uses. As a prelude to the event summer, two events will start on May 13th: At "Wine meets Pinzga Kost" and the "Team Fun Run", Pinzgau delicacies and fine wines from winegrowers from the Weinviertel meet community and fun in connection with sport Team spirit. The event highlight is definitely the "Megamarsch 50/12" on June 24th: 50 km in 12 hours with start and finish in Mittersill. On three Friday evenings, the center of Mittersill is transformed into a colorful shopping, promenade and pleasure mile with "Moonlight Shopping". At the village festival in Stuhlfelden on July 15, spectators will be attracted by a spectacular "Soap Box Grand Prix" through the town center. Two weeks later, the 3-day "Mittersill Stadtfest" takes place from July 28th to 30th. The finale is the popular "Street Food Market" from August 18th to 20th. The culinary festival has long since established itself as a fixed point in the Oberpinzgau event sky.
