Thyme Opco, better known as the “new Flybe”, has come a step closer to the planned start, because, according to a media report by “Head for Points”, 86 slots have been allocated at Heathrow Airport. There are now planned 25 round trips per week to Edinburgh and 18 to Aberdeen. The management has not yet commented on any further details.

A few days ago, the British Civil Aviation Authority gave the new establishment on which Flybe was to be superposed, AOC and operating license. This represents the essential basis for the restart of the former regional airline. This is to fly under the traditional name Flybe. Before that, there was a partly controversial difference of opinion between the CAA and Thyme Copco.

The regional airline is scheduled to take off again in the summer of 2021. An exact time for the first flight has not yet been determined. Anyway, it was former OE-LGA meanwhile registered in the British register on Thyme Opco. From the start, the fleet will consist of DHC Dash 8-400 turboprop aircraft.
