The comeback of the insolvent regional airline Flybe continues. A subsidiary of the new owner, Cyrus Capital, applied to the UK Civil Aviation Authority for the necessary operating license (OL).

The application was submitted by Thyme Opco on December 1, 2020 and includes both scheduled and charter flights as part of the AOC, reports the CH-Aviation.com portal. The bankrupt carrier was taken over by Cyrus Capital. At the end of October 2020 it was announced that Flybe would take off again.

According to the British Civil Aviation Authority, the AOC has not yet been withdrawn. However, numerous conditions must be met in order to reactivate the orienteering, which is absolutely necessary. CH-Aviation justifiably raises the question of why Cyrus Capital is applying for a new operating license with a new subsidiary if that of Flybe could be reactivated. The new Flybe owner does not want to make a public statement on this matter and replied to Aviation Direct: "No comment".
