From May 1, 2025, Sky Alps will offer a new flight route between Klagenfurt and Hanover. The connection will operate twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays, until the end of October 2025. It is aimed at both business travelers and tourists and is being implemented as part of a cooperation with the German tour operator UKS Touristik.
The airline is pursuing a premium strategy with included services such as on-board catering and baggage. The flights are available as individual bookings or as part of package tours. The route is intended to strengthen Carinthian tourism in particular and open up an important German economic area. As a destination city, Hanover offers a large catchment area with nine million inhabitants as well as strong economic and tourist attractions, including important trade fairs and cultural highlights.
The expansion of the route network is seen as a milestone by those responsible at Klagenfurt Airport. The aim is to establish the airport as a hub in the Alps-Adriatic region and to promote further connections.
