Budapest Airport, operated by Vinci Airports, is expanding its route network with a new connection to Shenzhen, China. Hainan Airlines has today added the new route to its flight schedule, using a Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The route is 8.499 km long and will be served twice a week.

Francois Berisot, CEO of Budapest Airport, stressed the importance of the new connection: "It is wonderful to welcome Shenzhen as the latest addition to the growing list of destinations offered from Budapest. The return of Hainan Airlines on the 20th anniversary of its first European flight is of particular significance." He added: "The launch of this strategic route reflects our committed work to improve connectivity and offer our passengers an unparalleled travel experience."

With this new connection, Shenzhen becomes the seventh Chinese destination served from Budapest. In total, Budapest Airport now offers 20 weekly flights to China, which means over 400.000 seats in both directions annually. This underlines the airport's commitment to continuously expand its international connections and offer a variety of travel options.
