The Hungarian airline Wizz Air has launched two new connections from Memmingen Airport: Since Tuesday, there have been four flights a week to Budapest, while the route to Chişinău in the Republic of Moldova is back on the schedule. Both connections serve different target groups and open up new travel options.
Budapest, known for its thermal baths, St. Stephen's Basilica and the striking Parliament building, is a popular destination for city breakers. The Hungarian capital offers a wealth of cultural and historical sights and can now be reached by direct flight from Memmingen in 90 minutes on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Conversely, travelers from Hungary have a convenient connection to the Alpine region.
The resumed connection to Chişinău, which operates on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, is aimed at people with connections to eastern Ukraine and wine lovers who are attracted by the region's famous wine cellars. The capital of Moldova is also an insider tip for cultural and green city experiences. According to airport sales manager Marcel Schütz, Memmingen is strengthening its position as an important location for flights to Eastern Europe with these offers.
