On June 21, 2024, a non-stop flight will start for the first time this year from Bremen to the Tunisian provincial capital Monastir. The flight connection is offered by Sundair and allows travelers to reach popular holiday resorts such as Hammamet, Nabeul, Sousse or Mahdia in just over three hours. The flights take place every Friday.

Monastir, a coastal town at the southern end of the Gulf of Hammamet, is known for its endless white sandy beaches and oriental charm. The region offers numerous hours of sunshine and modern infrastructure, making it a major tourist destination in Tunisia. Marc Cezanne, Managing Director of Bremen Airport, emphasizes the attractiveness of Tunisia's east coast due to its wide range of leisure activities and cultural diversity.
