Due to the fact that the capacity at Amsterdam-Schiphol Airport is limited, the airline Air Malta has to relocate some of the rotations planned for July 2022 to Rotterdam. All airlines that have Schiphol in their route network have to reduce their offer.
The background is that there is an acute shortage of staff at the largest airport in the Netherlands. This cannot be remedied in the short term, so maximum limits have been introduced for the number of passengers who are allowed to use Schiphol each day. Some airlines are relocating at least some of their planned offers to other airports. For example, Royal Jordanian has chosen Maastricht.
Air Malta will relocate the KM386/387 course pairs to Rotterdam between July 11 and July 27, 2022 for the time being on Monday and midday traffic days. In a media statement, the company regrets the circumstances, but emphasizes that there is no other option.
