An Airbus A330-243MRTT was transferred from Madrid-Getafe to Maltese Luqa Airport last week. The military aircraft will be painted there at Aviation Cosmetics Malta and will in future be operated by the Royal Netherlands Air Force as the T-060.
The aircraft will complement the current fleet of NATO's Air Cooperation Program, which is based on acquiring, managing and operating a fleet of Airbus A330MRTTs. Only recently was a aircraft of this type intended for the Spanish Air Force remodeled and painted.
A few days earlier, Luqa had Another visit from a Lockheed C-130H of the Royal New Zealand Air Force. This put in a night stop. The aircraft will be deployed from Brize Norton in support of logistical supplies to the Ukrainian population affected by the ongoing conflict.
