Extensive construction and maintenance work is also planned at Zurich Airport in 2025. Due to ongoing flight operations, certain work must be carried out at night in order to have as little impact on regular air traffic as possible. Zurich Airport AG announced several projects that will be implemented between February and autumn 2025.

A key focus is the apron renovation in the Hotel/India area. From mid-February, a new main drainage channel will be installed there between runway 16/34 and Dock B. The required sheet pile work is noisy and will partly be carried out at night. Installing and removing the sheet piles is expected to take 15 nights each. The entire construction phase for this section will last until autumn 2025.

The renovation of the joints on runway 16/34 is also planned. In order to maintain the sealing of the surface and prevent damage from water ingress, a total of 50 kilometers of joints will be renewed. This work will take place between March and August exclusively during the night-time operating breaks; no major noise emissions are expected. Other projects include the optimization of wastewater separation at the Delta pumping station, the construction of a new radar system by Skyguide and general maintenance work throughout the airport grounds.

Flughafen Zürich AG asks residents for their understanding for the unavoidable night-time work. The measures are necessary to maintain the airport's infrastructure and ensure smooth operations in the long term.
