Eurowings launched a new direct connection from Cologne/Bonn to Dubai on October 28, 2024. Flights to the United Arab Emirates will be offered three times a week, every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. In addition, a new route to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia will be launched from November 5, 2024, which will also be served three times a week.

The flight time from Cologne/Bonn to Dubai is around six and a half hours. For this route, Eurowings uses a modern Airbus A320neo, which is specially designed for the efficiency and comfort of passengers. The connections to Dubai and Jeddah offer travelers from the Rhineland improved connections to important destinations in the Gulf region, which are of interest to both holidaymakers and business travelers.

According to Thilo Schmid, CEO of Cologne/Bonn Airport, these new destinations are very popular and significantly expand the existing offering. Dubai is known for its impressive skyline and as a global trade center.
