Non-stop flights between Russia and Indonesia before the comeback

The governments of Russia and Indonesia are currently negotiating the resumption of non-stop flights between the two countries. Aeroflot, Azur Air and Nordwind have already applied for route rights.

Specifically, it is about various cities in the Russian Federation that are to be connected to airports in Indonesia. A specific date for the resumption of flight connections between the two countries is not yet foreseeable, but the negotiations are said to be well advanced.

Indonesian Ambassador Jose Tavares confirmed the talks to Ria Novosti. He also added that the three Russian airlines must open local representative offices in Indonesia before issuing any permits. Legislation currently requires foreign airlines flying to/from Indonesia to have a local representative. You can run this yourself, but you can also authorize a so-called general sales agent.
