It's not just Alpine winter sports enthusiasts who are happy about the recent start of the new season. Things are now really getting started for fans of Nordic skiing. In the Styrian cross-country skiing mecca of Ramsau am Dachstein, the official starting signal will be given next weekend with the “Nordic Winter Opening” for hobby runners of all abilities and ages.
The program for the three-day event from December 7th to 10th includes technology courses, material tests, an introduction to laser biathlon and much more. This weekend the Schladming-Dachstein region is even offering two openings. While two concerts by Robbie Williams are taking place in Schladming, winter sports fans can experience a variety of cross-country skiing fun in Ramsau am Dachstein as part of the Nordic Winter Opening.
