The Estonian airline Nordica has made significant progress in incorporating the Airbus A320 aircraft into its fleet. The carrier is in search of Captains and First Officers. The operation of the first unit is scheduled to start in the summer of 2022.

Nordic Aviation Group has two operational airlines: Xfly and Nordica. The latter company initially operated as a virtual airline, but some time ago it obtained its own certificates. It is currently planned that the charter and ACMI business will be located at Xfly and the scheduled flights at Nordica. However, there are already obvious overlaps.

The aircraft types Bombardier CRJ-900, ATR72-600, Embraer E-Jets and Airbus A320 will be used on the Nordica-AOC in the future. Xfly is said to operate ATR72-600, CRJ-900 and Embraer E-Jets. The A320 machines will primarily be available for charter and ACMI services, which is why the separation between line and charter is not really clear. In any case, they want to register the medium-haul jets on the Nordica AOC.

It was originally announced that the first unit would be commercially deployed from July 1, 2022. For reasons that are not specified, there has been a delay, so that it is currently assumed that it will be around August 1, 2022. Overall, Nordica wants over the next few years fleet of ten Airbus A320. You will initially use these for charter and ACMI services, but you can imagine sending one or the other machine onto the line at your own expense.
