North America flights: Lufthansa is expanding its Dreamliner service

Germany's largest airline, Lufthansa, is making some changes to North America traffic. The connections from Frankfurt to Austin, Dallas/Fort Worth, Denver, Detroit and Montreal are affected.

Effective March 26, 2023, Austin will only be served three times a week. From May 2, 2023, the aircraft type Boeing 787-9 will be used instead of the Airbus A330-300. Dallas/Fort Worth will be reduced to six weekly rotations at the beginning of the 2023 summer timetable period and the route will in future be served with B787-9 instead of Airbus A340-300.

Between March 26, 2023 and April 30, 2023 there will be one daily flight to Denver with Airbus A340-300 instead of A330-300. Dreamliners are to be used with effect from May 1, 2023. From March 26, 2023, Detroit will be served daily with B787-9 instead of A330-300. From March 26, 2023, the Dreamliner will fly to Montreal instead of the A340-300. From this day until April 30, 2023, Lufthansa will only fly this route four times a week.
