The Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air entered the domestic business within Norway last year with a great deal of turmoil. This will end again from June 14, 2021, because the carrier will discontinue the last three remaining routes.

These are the routes from Oslo to Bergen, Trondheim and Tromsø. Last year, the lowcoster's domestic flights caused a stir even before the first flight, because a member of the government called on the population to boycott the airline. Shortly afterwards, it announced further routes within Norway and an additional base.

Not much has remained, because the presence within Norway was quickly reduced. On June 14, 2021, Wizz Air will also give up the last three domestic routes. According to AirwaysMag, the decision should have been made for economic reasons. The low-cost airline will move its capacities to other markets. In other words, the flights within Norway were a failure for Wizz Air and losses were incurred. Now the carrier is drawing the line under the excursion into the Norwegian domestic market.
