Effective September 3, 2022, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings is repealing the vaccination requirement for passengers. In the future, a negative corona test, which may not be more than 72 hours old at the time it is taken, will be sufficient.
People over the age of 12 who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 do not have to have a negative result. However, the conditions depend on the local regulations and those of the destination. As a result, there is a different protocol in the direction of Canada, Greece and Bermuda Islands. The group, which is active under the Norwegian, Oceania and Regent brands, advises travelers to find out about the current entry regulations and to be prepared for embarkation accordingly.
“Our long-awaited overhaul of our testing and vaccination policies brings us closer to the rest of society that has learned to adapt and live with COVID-19, and makes it simpler and easier for our loyal guests, with our three world-class brands to travel. Health and safety is our top priority and we will continue to adapt our robust SailSAFE program as public health evolves,” said Frank Del Rio, President and Chief Executive Officer of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. “The easing of protocols coupled with the continued easing of travel restrictions and the reopening of cruises in more ports around the globe are very positive for our business as they reduce friction, expand the addressable cruise market, bring variety to itineraries and additional catalysts offer on the way to recovery.”
