Norwegian flies from Skopje for the first time

Norwegian airline faces competition from Wizz Air in Skopje.

Norwegian will launch a new seasonal service between Oslo and Skopje next summer, entering the North Macedonian market. The route will be offered twice a week from June 23, 2023 to August 18, 2023, on Mondays and Fridays, according to the online portal Ex-Yu-Aviation. The airline thus competes indirectly with Wizz Air, because the low-cost airline connects the North Macedonian capital with Sandefjord and is also a major driver in North Macedonia's aviation. This year alone, Wizz Air has already carried more than a million passengers from Skopje and Ohrid airports and plans next year to to add another aircraft to its base in the capital.
