Norwegian leases six more Boeing 737-Max-8s

Low-cost airline Norwegian Air Shuttle will lease six more Boeing 737-Max-8s. These are obtained from Air Lease Corporation. The two companies have signed a corresponding declaration of intent.

The additional aircraft will join three B737 Max 8s, one of which has already been delivered. The carrier currently assumes that the leased aircraft will be handed over before midsummer 2023.

“The acquisition of these modern and fuel-efficient aircraft fits well into our fleet strategy. It will also help offset Boeing's delays in other aircraft scheduled for delivery to Norwegian this spring," said Geir Karlsen, CEO of Norwegian.
