A spokesman confirmed that the daughter will file for bankruptcy in Sweden. A continuation is not planned. Norwegian will operate seamlessly across the new Sweden offshoot continue. According to official information, this should not lead to any job cuts.
In the meantime, the group has been able to meet all of the requirements in the insolvency proceedings conducted in Ireland and Norway and has left bankruptcy protection on May 26, 2021. Norwegian was able to get the lion's share of the capital it needed on the financial market. In the future, the airline will focus on flights within Scandinavia as well as European tourist routes. Long-haul routes will no longer be reactivated, but the corresponding subsidiaries are now in the process of being dissolved.
