The low-cost airline Norwegian Air Shuttle plans to return to Salzburg Airport in winter 2022/23. From Stockholm-Arlanda they want to offer two weekly rotations during the high season.

The flights are operated by the subsidiary "Norwegian Air Sweden AOC". On December 25, 2022, one round will be offered on a Sunday. Otherwise, until March 25, 2023, Boeing 737-800s will be used on Wednesday and Saturday.

The route is primarily aimed at Swedish winter sports enthusiasts who want to spend their holidays in Austria. This route is not a real "new addition", because Norwegian Air Shuttle has already been active in the "ski traffic" to Salzburg in the past.
