90 percent of the flight personnel is said to be vaccinated

The low-cost airline Wizz Air announced a few weeks ago that the vaccination against Covid-19 would be de facto mandatory for flight personnel. Anyone who cannot prove a full vaccination by December 1, 2021 must now be tested regularly at their own expense. This does not apply to Wizz employees who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons.

The carrier has now announced that 90 percent of the flying personnel has been vaccinated against Covid-19. According to the company's own information, the in-house vaccination rate is higher than “in most of their markets”. Wizz Air also explains that they have made regular webinars and one-on-one meetings with virologists available to employees in order to be able to advise them on the vaccines and to answer open questions.

“We are pleased to announce that 90 percent of our flight and cabin crew have already been vaccinated. At the start of the pandemic, we were the industry leader with our strict health and safety measures as we recognize and recognize our responsibility to protect the crew and passengers on board by mitigating the risks of COVID-19 crucial role that the vaccine plays in this, ”explains Johan Eidhagen, Chief People Officer of the Wizz Air Group.

Isn't that the typical course of the year? There are hardly any holidaymakers in European domestic traffic in November.
