The low-cost airline Wizzair suffered a drastic drop in passenger numbers in November 2020. In a direct comparison with October 2020, the carrier carried 60 percent fewer passengers. 456.487 travelers were counted. In October, the carrier still had 1.146.227 passengers on board.

The sharp decline shows the currently extremely low demand for flight tickets. The presence in Vienna-Schwechat has also been greatly reduced in the meantime. Wizzair currently only flies to Tenerife South and back once a week. It is to be expected that the competition will publish similarly poor promotion figures for November 2020 in the next few days. Due to recent restrictions and lockdowns, there is virtually no demand at the moment.
