The low-coster resumes the connection to London-Stansted: At the weekend, after a break of several months, the first flight from Nuremberg took off. For the time being, the non-stop route will be served on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Before the pandemic in 2019, almost 200.000 passengers used this connection; the number of passengers had doubled in ten years. This means that London is one of the most important flight destinations for the people and the economy of the Nuremberg metropolitan area and until 2019 was the metropolis with the highest demand for air travelers from NUE. This also applies to guests from the United Kingdom. In 2019 alone, the city of Nuremberg recorded 39.000 guest arrivals from the United Kingdom.

This summer, Ryanair is flying to a total of six destinations from Nuremberg: Beside London these are the Greek goals Thessaloniki and Korfu as well as the Italian Palermo. Besides, it goes after Alicante and Palma de Mallorca in Spain.
