Austrian Airlines sent the fleet's first Airbus A320neo on its maiden commercial flight on Wednesday. Less than two days later, the OE-LZN is on the ground with a technical defect.
Actually he would have so far the only A320neo from Austrian Airlines should fly to Hamburg or Berlin on Friday. Nothing came of it, because for technical reasons the OE-LZN is not allowed to take off for the time being. The affected courses were therefore served with previous models. Only two days after the first commercial flight, an AOG is particularly inconvenient.
A spokeswoman for Austrian Airlines confirmed the failure of the A320neo and said: "Unfortunately, the OE LZN is actually AOG due to a malfunction in the electronic engine control. Our colleagues in technology are working flat out on a solution.”
