The Lufthansa subsidiary Eurowings is launching another route in Germany-Kosovo traffic. From April 10, 2022, the carrier will offer two weekly rotations from Nuremberg, Bavaria.
The flights are to be operated on the traffic days Tuesday and Sunday. The sister company Eurowings Europe maintains a base in Pristina with aircraft stationed locally.
In the course of this year, the Austrian branch will cease operations and Malta-based successor Eurowings Europe Ltd. be replaced. The changeover will take place from the 2022/23 winter timetable period. The official reason for this step is that the double taxation agreements that Austria has concluded with various countries are said to be too complicated for the staff. The trade unions are critical of the flagging out to Malta.
