Last but not least, due to political pressure, Lufthansa has shifted the ultra-short route between Nuremberg and Munich to the road. For some time now, buses have been running between the two cities under Lufthansa flight numbers. It should now also be possible to check in luggage on the bus.

On departure from Nuremberg, the luggage should be labeled and then handed in by the staff at Munich Airport and sent on the journey. Previously, passengers had to check in their suitcases themselves in Munich. According to a Lufthansa spokeswoman, passengers can now go directly to the gate in Munich. First, Frankfurt Flyer reported on the innovation.

For the time being, however, it is only possible to drop off suitcases with the bus driver in Nuremberg. On the other Lufthansa Express bus lines, it is still the case: go to the drop-off counter in Munich or Frankfurt am Main yourself. Lufthansa is currently offering four course pairs per day on the road between Nuremberg and Munich. They are satisfied with the occupancy of the buses.
