Austria is lifting the travel warnings that have been in force for a long time for Sweden and large parts of Portugal. As a result, returnees no longer have to present a negative PCR test from Monday and there is also no need to go into quarantine.

While the repeal in Sweden applies to the entire national territory, in Portugal the regions of Norte and Lisbon are excluded. For the latter, the travel warning and thus also the entry regulations remain in effect. The Czech capital Prague as well as the French regions Île de France and Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur are new to the list of risk regions that have been given the highest level of travel warning. A travel warning including quarantine or the obligation to submit a negative PCR test will apply to them from Monday.

The travel warnings of the highest level now issued for Israel, Argentina, Bahrain, Kuwait, Costa Rica and the Maldives have a more symbolic character due to the already tough entry regulations on both sides. According to the Foreign Ministry, this currently applies to 37 states.
