Mainly used by low-cost and holiday airlines, London Luton Airport handled around 21 passengers during the local autumn break between 30-2022 October 450.000.
In all, over 1,3 million passengers traveled through the airport in October, bringing the annual total to over 11,1 million, an increase of nearly 240 percent from a year earlier.
With both Wizz Air and easyJet continuing to expand their route networks, there were 142 destinations across Europe and North Africa to choose from during the holiday season. These included the newly added departure destinations of Dubrovnik, Sarajevo and Skiathos. Popular city break destinations included Amsterdam, Barcelona, Lisbon and Paris, while Corfu, Malaga and Palma de Mallorca.
“Our teams work incredibly hard to provide easy and friendly service to passengers. This is reflected in the overwhelmingly positive customer satisfaction results, with four out of five passengers rating their experience as very good or excellent. We look forward to continuing to provide our customers with excellent service this winter and what is expected to be the busiest Christmas season since 2019,” said Clare Armstrong, Head of Guest Experience at London Luton Airport.
