The airline SAS carried around 2022 million passengers in October 1,93. In a direct comparison with the same month of the previous year, this meant an increase of 38 percent. The carrier estimates the capacity utilization at 75 percent and thus improved by 13 percentage points.

In a direct comparison with September 2022, SAS had three percent fewer passengers on board. Capacity was expanded by 2021 percent compared to October 41. “We are pleased that almost 2 million passengers flew with us in October, a healthy number despite a difficult macroeconomic environment. We continue to make progress in our US Chapter 11 litigation. We recently announced that we have entered into agreements with additional lessors to modify existing aircraft and equipment leases, which will result in cost savings and is a further step towards achieving our goals in the SAS Forward Plan," said CEO Anko van der Werff .

The parent company SAS Group has been in the United States of America for a few months in a creditor protection procedure. SAS is currently renegotiating contracts with numerous lessors. With one or the other contractual partner you could already reach agreements. In Norway, the carrier cashed in due to slow refunds already fines.
