After a break of almost 1,5 years, the Star Alliance member SAS intends to reactivate the Oslo-New York route on July 3, 2021. Initially, only two circuits per week are planned. A step-by-step increase is planned.

SAS will offer Oslo-New York on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The return flights are operated on Thursdays and Sundays. First of all, Airbus A330 overland jets will be used. The route was interrupted due to the corona pandemic in March 2020 and has been idle since then. After a break of around 15 months, the capital of Norway is to be reconnected with New York.
