Zurich-Kloten Airport had around 280.000 passengers over Easter. This was around 30 percent below the volume that the airport had before the corona pandemic. Nevertheless, the numbers were significantly better than in 2021 and 2020.

A spokeswoman for the SDA agency confirmed that the largest airport in Switzerland had an average of around 70.000 travelers per day between Good Friday and Easter Monday. This is about 70 percent of the volume that was achieved in the same period in 2019.

In the first Corona year, there were only about 850 passengers per day during Easter. Last year there were around 13.200 per Easter day. Geneva Airport in western Switzerland fell short of recent expectations. The airport assumed that around 187.000 passengers would use the airport over the Easter period. In fact, only around 180.000 travelers flew from Geneva.
