The traditional NATO Days will once again take place at Ostrava Airport in the Czech Republic next weekend. On September 17th and 18th, 2022, visitors can experience numerous military aircraft. The Austrian Armed Forces will be represented with Eurofighters.

The air show in Ostrava already has a long tradition. With free admission, there has been a lot to see for many years. In addition to the air force of the Czech Republic, numerous other NATO members will also be represented. The manufacturers Saab and Embraer are also taking part.

NATO itself will present an Airbus A330 MRTT tanker aircraft in the flying display. Many other airplanes and helicopters are exhibited as a static display and most of them can also be viewed. The exact plan of the flying display will be published by the organizers around three days before the start.

On Friday, September 16, 2022, the NATO Days will kick off with the opportunity to hold talks with pilots. The event will start on Saturday at 9:00 am and end around 17:00 pm. It will then continue on Sunday from 9:00 am to probably 16:00 pm. Admission is free. People arriving by car have to pay a parking fee of 300 CZK per day.

As the Nato Days is an extremely popular aviation show in the Czech Republic, increased traffic around Ostrava is to be expected. On radio frequency 95,2 FM, a radio station regularly provides information about the current situation. However, visitors should plan enough time for the journey. On the rail route, it is expressly recommended that you should buy the ticket for the outward and return journey and make seat reservations. From some train stations there are chargeable shuttle buses to Ostrava Airport.
