Corendon Airlines has been connecting the Turkish city of Izmir with Paderborn/Lippstadt since June 25th. The airline operates the route twice a week.

Until the end of October, two machines a week will take off from Paderborn/Lippstadt Airport to Izmir, which will be used primarily by people of Turkish origin for visits home, as the airport announced in a broadcast. “We are very pleased that, in close cooperation with the representatives of the Turkish-born population in our region, we have been able to establish this connection. Joint visits to Turkey made the expected demand clear and persuaded the airline Corendon to start this commitment," explains Airport Managing Director Roland Hüser.
