Six wide-bodied Airbus A340s will fly to Namibia in July. You will have more than 200 tons of medical protective equipment on board, which is urgently needed in view of the rising incidence values in the context of the corona pandemic in the South African country.
The first plane with masks, gloves and protective suits will take off from the home port on Friday, July 23rd. Further relief flights are planned for July 24th, July 26th, July 27th, July 29th and July 30th. The machines start in Paderborn / Lippstadt and travel to Windhoek.
“With these relief flights we can prove our competence in the area of freight. Our capacities, our flexibility and the positive experience with comparable projects have contributed to the fact that the relief flights to Namibia start from Paderborn / Lippstadt ”, says the new airport manager Roland Hüser happily.
