The tour operator Tui Deutschland will have the Maltese airline Freebird Europe fly to the destinations Palma de Mallorca, Crete, Kos, Rhodes, Gran Canaria, Burgas and Feuerte Ventura from Paderborn in the summer of 2022.

The full charter flights are to be operated with an Airbus A320. According to the airport, the targets are to be added gradually from June 3, 2022. Burgas, however, should only be offered during the main travel season. The flights from Paderborn can be booked primarily through the tour operator Tui.

Freebird Europe is the Maltese branch of the Turkish airline Freebird. Two Airbus A320s are currently registered on the carrier's AOC. The parent company's fleet currently consists of eight identical aircraft.
