Lessor Avolon announced during the Paris Air Show that it had ordered 40 more B737-Max aircraft from Boeing. This is already the third order. Airbus has signed a letter of intent for the A330neo. 

“Today's announcement reaffirms our longstanding partnership with Boeing and our support for the 737 Max program. We are confident that our customers will continue to demand the 737-Max over the long term, and this order extends our delivery pipeline into 2030,” said Andy Cronin, CEO of Avolon. "Transforming the world's fleet to more fuel-efficient new technology aircraft is a priority for our industry, and we aim to be a leader in helping airlines meet their sustainability goals." 

Letter of Intent for 20 A330neo 

Avolon has signed a letter of intent with its competitor Airbus to acquire 20 A330neo. The lessor currently has a fleet of 616 Airbus aircraft owned and managed by Avolon. These include 55 A330neo as well as 208 A320ceo, 285 A320neo, 51 A330ceo and 17 A350).
