In April 2022, the German regional airport Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden set a new monthly record for the first time since the beginning of the corona pandemic. There were 116.500 passengers, more than in April 2019. There was also a strong increase in the cargo area.

In the pre-crisis month of April 2019, FKB was used by 116.281 passengers. So recently there has been a small increase. This is primarily attributed to the low-cost airline Ryanair. "The signs are pointing to growth again - especially in comparison to before the pandemic," says Airport Manager Uwe Kotzan, who is pleased about the busiest April in the 25-year history of FKB and is confident that the upward trend will continue.

Since the stationing of the two Ryanair machines on March 25.03.2012, 6,2, the Irish airline has carried more than 10 million passengers to and from FKB. If you add the Ryanair flights prior to being stationed at FKB, the number is over 2003 million passengers since XNUMX.

The currently valid summer timetable at FKB shows more than 1,2 million flight seats to 35 destinations in 18 countries, which are served by a total of six airlines. The upcoming winter timetable also offers numerous destinations - including new flights from Ryanair to Agadir and Sofia and from Wizz Air to Kukës.
