Pegasus orders six more A321neo

Pegasus orders six more A321neo

The Turkish airline Pegasus is adding six more units to the A321neo fleet. The order from 2012 has been expanded. These are to be delivered to the carrier from 2024.

In 2012, Pegasus ordered a total of 75 Airbus A320neo. At the same time, options for 25 more copies were secured. This was pulled in 2017 for the larger model A321neo. Six more copies of the last-mentioned machine type have now been ordered.

Pegasus is a traditional Boeing 737 operator. In the meantime, this sub-fleet has shrunk to less than 30 units. There is also a reason for this, as the decision was made in 2012 to completely change the fleet to Airbus planes. So far, 44 A320neo and five A321neo have been taken over. The reloading process is expected to drag on until around 2025.

I flew back the day before yesterday with the A321neo from Pegasus (Istanbul-Zürich). 40 rows of 6 seats each. It was so narrow that it would have been impossible to adopt the emergency landing body positions according to the safety instructions (!). Many would probably not have gotten their life jackets either.
    The A320neo outbound was better.
