On behalf of the charter company Le One, the Maltese airline Luxwing is scheduled to start flights from Pescara, Italy, from mid-July 2021. The announced routes are to be served with a 19-seat Beech 1900D.
In addition to destinations within Italy, Dubrovnik, Split, Figari and Corfu are also to be served with this type of aircraft. Initially, a non-stop connection between Pescara and Lamezia Terme is to be started on July 15, 2021. On July 16, 2021, Dubrovnik, Split and Figari will follow. Corfu and Pantelleria follow a day later. Additional routes have been announced for September 2021: Genoa, Verona and Trieste as well as flights between Trieste and Genoa.
Since the Maltese company Le One is not an airline, but charters and then sells for its own account, the operational implementation is to be carried out by Luxwing. This airline already operates from Bolzano on behalf of Skyalps in Italy. While De Havilland Dash 8-400 will be used from South Tyrol, from Pescara you will fly with the much smaller Beech 1900D.
In the past, Le One also announced flights with Narrowbodies. These could not last very long on the market. This time the situation is a little different because the routes are subsidized. According to Le-One boss Stefano Costantini, the bid could be won by the regional government. Behind Le One is a Spanish tour operator.
